Dear Parents, Teachers, Students and Families,

On behalf of our new Logan Memorial Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) we are excited to welcome you to LMEC for the 2022-2023 academic year! We hope you all had a safe and restful summer and are looking forward to another excellent year!

As some of you may know, LMEC has not had a PTSA in more than 10 years. In the fall of 2021 a few of us gathered together to initiate the process of starting a PTSA and we are happy to inform you that we are now a fully established organization as of April 2022!

The Logan Memorial PTSA serves as a bridge to connect our students, families, teachers, and our community members to each other and brings a variety of programs and activities to enrich the academic and social experiences of our students and families. The PTSA also serves as an advocacy group and provides a platform for families, students and teachers to share their voices. We are here to serve you and encourage you to reach out to us anytime to share any school or community concerns. We will do our best to help communicate and address your concerns with our school and community leaders.

This year we are working on establishing a strong foundation for our new organization to grow and thrive over the years to come. We are excited to bring our Fall Movie Night event in early November, support our 6th graders go to camp through various fundraisers, and assist with school events, including our upcoming holiday programs, teacher appreciation week, and more! If you have participated in other PTA/PTSA organizations, have a particular hobby/talent you are great at, work at various corporations or businesses that could bring enriching programs to our campus, or simply want to donate, volunteer and/or have fun, we would love to hear from you and invite you to participate and contribute in whatever way you can. We also invite you to visit our new website which includes all of our upcoming events, news and opportunities to help and get involved.

If you have not yet joined our PTSA, please consider joining online at https://jointotem.com/ca/san-diego/logan-memorial-ptsa. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, you can complete a membership form and sign up at either of the school’s front offices. Our goal is to reach a total of 300 memberships this year. As a member you are not required to volunteer or attend our general association meetings. Also, anyone can join our PTSA! So please encourage your relatives and friends to join and help support our school!
